Tuesday 26th June
We awoke to a bright and beautiful sunny morning and looking forward to the day to come. After a cooked breakfast children split into their teams to take on the first of four challenges.
Throughout the day they learned the technique and early skills and fencing, all in full protective kit. They also had a fantastic time enjoying the trampolining skills of aeroball (basketball on trampolines!). In the afternoon they undertook a blindfold trail and took part in the ancient art of Body Zorbing. Mr. Hawthorn survived all-comers, much to the children's disappointment!
In the evening we had a fantastic campfire where we had the pleasure of Campfire's Got Talent meeting the up and coming skills of 'No Direction', 'The Fortnite Ballerinas', 'The Beat-box Duo', 'Large Mix' and 'PJ and Duncan' (as the Crumblies - performing The Biscuit Rap) - The last act being Mrs Hardie and Mr Grantham; voted in as the winners.
All in bed by 10pm - Phew!
